Camp Leader Overview


The Camp Leader position is vital to supporting summer camp on-site at San Francisco Day School. This involves regular lesson planning, delivering lessons to groups of students, supervising safe play, helping resolve student conflicts, and keeping our students and community safe.  


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred)
  • Has experience leading youth programs (after school or summer)
  • Proficient technology skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office
  • Lesson planning experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead a group of up to 14 campers; covering subject areas including language arts, social studies, and mathematics, and various types of enrichment activities.
  • Collaborate with teams to design and implement an interdisciplinary, thematic-based, experiential curriculum
  • Participate in all aspects of camp
  • Foster a love of learning in every student
  • Prepare and clean up camp spaces daily
  • Maintain the safety of each student, supporting our health and safety guidelines while on or off-campus.
