Join our team at SF Day! We are seeking a talented individual to work with our lower school students and teaching teams.
At San Francisco Day School, we believe that when intellect and imagination are intertwined, students delight in the discovery of connection: in their academic and creative pursuits, in their relationships, and in all that they experience here. Every day we help our students emerge as flexible and resourceful learners. Because when we do, our students light up with the call and capacity to take on the complexities of their day and of a diverse world.

We are seeking someone who enjoys thinking deeply about math, is passionate and committed to meeting the needs of students, including students that benefit from extending their mathematical thinking beyond the classroom in the early elementary years (K-4). The ideal candidate sees “Math Lab” instruction time as an opportunity to extend, enrich, deepen and contextualize mathematical explorations.
The ideal candidate is also comfortable collaborating and supporting “homeroom” teaching teams by providing relevant resources, engaging in thoughtful discourse that prods mathematical teaching, and modeling progressive mathematical teaching techniques (inquiry/project based, interdisciplinary focused). Familiarity with a wide variety of curricular programs would also be preferred.
The ideal candidate demonstrates a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, including cultural competency skills.
The LS Math Lab Teacher will report directly to the LS Head and work with the K-8 Instructional Coach and the Dean of Faculty.
