We are seeking someone who enjoys thinking deeply and creatively about innovation and its intersection with technology. This individual is passionate about fostering student learning in solving complex problems through design thinking.

As the Tech & Innovation teacher, you will:

  • Curate and Lead student-centered learning experiences that foster the connection between intellect and imagination, grounded in real life experiences (Gr. K-4 = Innovate & Create Classes ~10 hrs/week + Gr. 5-8 = ~4 hrs/week)
  • Coach students in various tech-related concepts such as digital citizenship, design thinking, coding, robotics, and engineering 
  • Coach colleagues in using technological tools and resources to enhance and enrich student learning and computational thinking
  • Build deep and meaningful relationships with students and families throughout their years and be able to see progress and growth

The ideal candidate demonstrates a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, including cultural competency skills. 

The Innovation Teacher  will report directly to the LS & US Head and partner with the K-8 Instructional Coach and the Dean of Faculty.


  • Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of classroom teaching experience (specifically in technology, innovation, design-thinking, and/or coding) in a K-8 setting
  • Experience working with a wide range of students, teachers, and families of diverse backgrounds


  • Strong knowledge of technology, 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and computational skills 
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team; work on multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, and meet deadlines


  • Work directly with students in a classroom setting to curate learning experiences that foster and further innovation and technology interests and passions
  • Collaborate with teachers and teaching teams, including co-planning, co-teaching, and thinking deeply about how to integrate innovation and technology cross curricularly
  • Attend grade-level, departmental, division, and school-wide meetings
  • Attend professional development conferences
